About Us

Kirk Driving School is located in Ukiah California, Mendocino county, approximately 2 hours north of San Francisco on Highway 101.

We have been established since 1994 and have offered driving school instruction for a variety of courses to Mendocino and Lake county residents since that time.

We presently offer Behind-the-Wheel driving instruction in the Ukiah area, exclusively to teens under the age of twenty.

Our Behind-the-Wheel instruction is available in the Ukiah and Redwood Valley area’s of the Ukiah valley only, as we feel that the traffic and controls that are present in this area are most conducive to the integrity of our course.

Our teen instruction  is available Monday thru Friday, throughout the day and after school.  

We taught classroom drivers education from 1994 thru 2002, at which time we began to recommend the various home-study courses available, as in our experience we have observed that the home-study students that take their Behind-the-Wheel instruction from us demonstrate a greater understanding of the rules-of-the-road and of the driving environment than students that have taken the various high school or driving school classes.

As the California DMV now approves home-study driver education programs for licensed driving schools, we are please to offer a quality course at an affordable price, to both our local students and to all teens needing that instruction throughout the state of California.
